From December 5 to 8, 2024 ViMA volunteers gathered in Ulm to collaborate on improving the online platform ViMA Danube (vima-danube.eu), familiarize themselves with its features, and explore potential promotion strategies.
Representatives from Bulgaria, Germany, Romania, Serbia, and Ukraine spent three days reflecting on the platform’s technical capabilities and addressing challenges faced by the ViMA Danube digital community. The discussions also focused on the network’s core themes: fostering democracy through active participation and promoting cross-border collaboration in civil society.
Participants explored innovative ways to support the project through an introduction to various AI tools. They prepared a ViMA survey to gain valuable insights into how the platform is perceived and utilized, as well as to gather ideas for new discussion topics. The groups also planned next steps for public relations, explored strategies to promote the platform, and discussed opportunities to connect ViMA Danube with other initiatives and partners across the Danube region. Their efforts were rewarded with a surprise visit from St. Nicholas at the Family Education Center, who presented them with small gifts.
The participants left Ulm brimming with creative ideas to strengthen dialogue on key topics across the Danube region. They warmly invite anyone interested to get involved and join the initiative!
