Danube-Networkers have donated 6.000 Euro

„The Wanted Danube“ became a fruitful action

The representatives of the Danube Networkers (DANET) presented two checks each with a donation in the amount of 3.000 EUR to the teams of the care center for children and youth with disabilities Zvjezdica in Gunja (Croatia) and the primary school OS “Filip Visnjic” in Jamena (Serbia). Those two institutions were strongly hit by the flood catastrophe in May 2014. The donations were collected within the international project “The wanted Danube”. The coordinator of this project Carmen Stadelhofer and the project manager of the DANET Mirjana Klapprodt visited Gunja and Jamena at the beginning of October and got a impression of the destruction caused by the flood. During the trip, they also visited partner organisations in Serbia and Croatia who were involved in this project and discussed the prospective activities within a new project initiative called “The Danube moves us”.
