On the 24th/25th of September 2013 took place in Ruse/Bulgaria the 2nd general meeting of the members of the Danube Civil Society Forum (DCSF). The president, Mr. Stefan Lütgenau, reported on the activities of DCSF from the last two years. The changes made on the Articles of Association, meanhwhile registered under Austrian law, were adopted. The executive board was discharged and elected again. The new website and financial strategies were presented. The workinggroup will meet in 2014, probably during the Danube Festival Ulm/Neu-Ulm. The Council of Cities and Regions along the Danube plans together with DCSF a one day meeting in Eisenstadt.
In the first Oktober week (1. – 4.10.2013) takes place in Vannes, France, the 4th partnermeeting within the project Personal TownTours. The partners will discuss their methodical approaches and will share their experiences and results in order to plan the future collaboration within this project.

The multiplicators’ visit aims to bring Serbia as a candidate for admission to the European Union closer to civil organizations in the Ulm area. During the visit the participants will visit Belgrad, Novi Sad and part of the Vojvodina in order to get a feeling for the country and its people.

From 4th to 6th of July 2013 took place in Belgrade a meeting of the Workgroup 3 of DSCF „Building Prosperity in the Danube Region“, Subgroup 1 „Fostering general scientific based education and lifelong learning for (older) adults in the Danube region and the use of new media”. (Coordination: Carmen Stadelhofer)
The mobile exhibition Danube – Networkers on Tour stopped from 8th until 12th of May in Ruse, Bulgaria. Its start was on the 9th of May and coincided with the International Europe Day.

In the period 8. – 12th of May 2013 took place in Ruse the final partner meeting of the project Danube Stories (DASTO). The book “Danube Stories” had been created with the help of all the groups involved as a symbol and summary of the work done within this project.

Following positive experiences from the pilot project DASUN (Danube Seniors Universities) www.dasun.eu, the University of Belgrade and the University of Arts in Belgrade have organised for the second time an “Academic Week” for older adults that included lectures and interactive workshops, presentations and exhibitions on topics related to adult learning, aging and third age. The “Academic Week” took place in the period 19-23 November 2012 in the rooms of the faculties involved. The program was attended by a total of 139 participants.
The mobile exhibition reached after Croatia and Serbia also Romania. On the 25th of April 2013 was the public opening of the mobile exhibition “Danube-Networkers on Tour” at City Hall Galery in Timisoara. The City Hall announced the event in their online monitor.

The Danubeoffice Ulm / Neu-Ulm and ZAWiW organise together with partners from Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, an international online lecture “Changes of Perspectives – Intercultural Exchange between Generations und Cultures along the Danube” on the topics of tourism, demographic change, and old and young. The Project DALEC2 is funded by the BW Foundation.

The Learning Partnership Danube-Networkers (2008-2010) has received two awards. It was selected as one of the best learning Partnerships Europe-wide in the frame of the conference “Age on Stage: Conference at a glance” on 21.6.2012 in Graz.

In November 2012 the Austrian National Agency awarded it with the national 1st prize.
On Saturday, the 11th of November 2012, 10.30-18.00, the fourth “Balkansalon” took place in the Donaubüro (Danube Office) in Ulm. The aim was getting to know in the playful way of a European Role Play the decision-making processes and difficulties on the way to common Europe.
This mobile exhibition intends to familiarize public with the idea of Danube Networkers, a network of people and institutions which aims to foster social participation of older citizens and intergenerational dialogue in the Danube region.
