MEETING IN THE “INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF CULTURAL DEVELOPMENT“ IN BELGRADE ON OCTOBER 16TH 2015
Meeting in the “Institute for the Study of Cultural Development“ in Belgrade on October 16th 2015 on worlds food and bread day for initiating the new project “Tastes of Danube”
The participants were 30 representatives of Institutions and individuals who are interested in active participation it project “Tastes of Danube”.
Speakers of the meeting were:
– Marina Lukic Cvetic – director of the Institute for the Study of Cultural Development, spoke about making bread in special occasions and making bread for Saints day
– Dejan Zagorac, researcher from Institute for the Study of Cultural Development, spoke about gastronomy as part of cultural heritage.
– Simeon Babic, President of the Association Human Ageing “Dr Laza Lazarevic” spoke about cooperation in DANET, Lidija Jevremovic, present ideas about the new project
After the presentations, there had been an interesting discussion between speakers and participants, so Mr. Zoran Radulovic from Vrsac spoke about planed activities in Vrsac and Gudurica,
Mr. Miroslav Tasic spoke about posibilities of cooperation on new project Mr. Slavoljub Tasic from Institute for Medical Plants Research spoke about possbilities in that part of project.
PROJECT PRESENTATION IN GUDURICA – OCTOBER 19TH 2015
Gudurica is famous because of 26 different nations living in this place. For initiating the new project “Tastes of Danube” many experts came together to exchange ideas how to go on.
– Marina Lukic Cvetic and Dejan Zagorac, both Institute for the Study of Cultural Development, Belgrad, presented their exhibition about bread.
– Violeta Cvetanoska from the National Museum in Kraljevo spoke about her exhibition – “Story about bread” that she presented at the Institute for the Study of Cultural Development at the middle of September.
– Sasa Radivojevic, Agriculutural School in Vrsac, spoke about their possibilities to participate at this project.
– Experts from the field of making wine and wine culture also participated in this presentation, director of Vrsac Vineyards spoke about wine tradition in Gudurica.
– pupils from the Elementary School read their stories and poems about Bread, wine and grapes, and also presented results of a small contest for painting on that subject.
– Professor in Elementary school spoke about their interest for participation in new project.
– Mr Simeon Babic and Lidija Jevremovic, Association Human Ageing “Dr Laza Lazarevic” presented the project idea and initiated a discussion about possible participation.
After the presentation of the project the participants tasted wines from Vrsac wineyards and on old traditional way hand made bread.
AGRICULTURAL SCHOOL – VRSAC, OCTOBER 20TH
- Presentation of the project “Tastes of Danube” in the Agricultural school in Vršac, nearly 130 participants took part
- Wellcome world and short introduction of meeting – director Srdjan Kliska
- Two students red their stories about bread culture ,
- Mr Simeon Babic and Lidija Jevremovic presented the project idea and initiated a discussion about possible participation
- Students and their professors made seven sorts of traditional bread and offered for tasting. Also some herbs and wine they are making
- Professors from the Agricultural school presented:
– history of making Banat bread on traditional way – professor Uros Bozanic
– wine and wineyards tradiotion in Vrsac region – professor Ivan Stanic
– herbs for medical purpose and also as spice they are having in the School garden – Slavica Stankovic and Ana Mesaros
