The 2nd general meeting DCSF in Ruse/Bulgaria

On the 24th/25th of September 2013 took place in Ruse/Bulgaria the 2nd general meeting of the members of the Danube Civil Society Forum (DCSF). The president, Mr. Stefan Lütgenau, reported on the activities of DCSF from the last two years. The changes made on the Articles of Association, meanhwhile registered under Austrian law, were adopted. The executive board was discharged and elected again. The new website and financial strategies were presented. The workinggroup will meet in 2014, probably during the Danube Festival Ulm/Neu-Ulm. The Council of Cities and Regions along the Danube plans together with DCSF a one day meeting in Eisenstadt.

From 4th to 6th of July 2013 took place in Belgrade a meeting of the Workgroup 3 of DSCF „Building Prosperity in the Danube Region“, Subgroup 1 „Fostering general scientific based education and lifelong learning for (older) adults in the Danube region and the use of new media”. Second “Academic week” for older adults at Belgrade University

Following positive experiences from the pilot project DASUN (Danube Seniors Universities) www.dasun.eu, the University of Belgrade and the University of Arts in Belgrade have organised for the second time an “Academic Week” for older adults that included lectures and interactive workshops, presentations and exhibitions on topics related to adult learning, aging and third age. The “Academic Week” took place in the period 19-23 November 2012 in the rooms of the faculties involved. The program was attended by a total of 139 participants.

DALEC goes into the next round

The Danubeoffice Ulm / Neu-Ulm and ZAWiW organise together with partners from Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania, an international online lecture “Changes of Perspectives – Intercultural Exchange between Generations und Cultures along the Danube” on the topics of tourism, demographic change, and old and young. The Project DALEC2 is funded by the BW Foundation.

Kick-off meeting of a research project on LiLL and ICT in the Danube Region

On the 14th and 15th of March 2013, representatives from education organizations in Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Germany had met at Ulm University for a kick-off meeting of a research project „Older Adults’ Lifelong Learning and ICT Use in the Danube Region”.

Danube-Networkers (2008-2010)

The Learning Partnership Danube-Networkers (2008-2010) has received two awards. It was selected as one of the best learning Partnerships Europe-wide in the frame of the conference “Age on Stage: Conference at a glance” on 21.6.2012 in Graz.
