About Building Bridges for Europe
The aim of the project is the development of an online toolbox, which will contain a collection of proved and tested methods and projects that
foster and support European awareness, critical thinking and help reducing prejudices.
The toolbox can be used in European education programs and actions in the context of adult and especially older adult education. The toolbox
aims at improving and extending the supply of high quality learning opportunities tailored to the needs of different target groups and individual
learners.
The idea behind this approach: to make good projects accessible and adaptable for other interested adult educators.
No reason to reinvent the wheel
In the last couple of years, there have been many projects with the aim of strengthening European awareness.
There were national and transnational projects with big or small budget for different target groups. But one thing is missing: There is no overview or collection of the projects that have
happened so far. Building bridges for Europe would like to close this gap (or “to bridge it” to stay in the picture).
