Mrs. Reneta Valeva, the Head of the High School in Tourism (HST), was amazed by the opportunities for pupils to appear and joined as a partner in the implementation of the two projects Bread Connects: Bread Week and ODDA – Open Doors for Doors for Danube Countries for All.
HST pupils decided at the Bread Week to organize an exhibition titled “Bread and Traditions”. For this purpose, through the Internet, they investigated what traditional breads do in European countries for the various holidays. They then determined which holidays are common to more European countries such as Christmas and Easter. They chose 10 recipes of bread for traditional holidays in Bulgaria, Germany, Romania, Serbia and Croatia.
Students developed 3 leaflets with 6 recipes of European breads, written in German, English and Bulgarian. The leaflets included photos of the breads made by them.
On October 12, 2017, after the opening ceremony of the second project meeting, students presented 10 loaves of bread made from different European countries and distributed the leaflets.
After the exhibition the guests, who were more than 190, tasted the Bulgarian red wine.
We wish Mrs. Reneta Valeva and school students health, joy and happiness!
