From the 13 – 15.3. 2014 the members of the network “Danube-Networkers” meet in Ulm, Germany, to the founding act of the international association “Danube-Networkers for Europe”
The “Danube-networkers” came to being in 2008, in the frame of an initiative started by ZAWiW (Zentrum für Allgemeine Wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung) of Ulm University and the working group of seniors “European Contacts” at ZAWiW. Meanwhile it includes civil society institutions from all Danube Countries. So came to being a network for education of older people, social participation and intergenerational dialogue along the Danube. In the last few years, the members organised and took part in various educational projects, now they will meet in Ulm, to strengthen their work and to create a wider basis for their cooperation by founding an international association.
